The respected industry veteran Louis B. "Buzz" Brown, Jr., formed this company in 1980 after 18 years of experience in account management with three of the largest advertising agencies in the world: Ogilvy, BBDO, and Young & Rubicam. Today, we are led by a stellar team of industry professionals who care deeply about their work and the positive impact they make in the lives of both our clients and our candidates. 

Roger Van Remmen - President/CEO
Since graduating from the University of Southern California, Roger brings 19 years of experience in advertising and consumer products
marketing. His career includes six years with BBDO and 12 years with Dailey & Associates. At the latter agency, he rose from Account Executive to Senior Vice President and served as Chairman of the Operations Committee, responsible for day-to-day management of  the organization. His agency account experience included package  goods, travel, financial services, hard goods and retail. Roger also has client-side experience, having been Director of Corporate Communications for Teradata Corporation, a $225-million international company. Roger joined this recruiting company in 1991. He currently serves as President of thinkLA (formerly The Los Angeles Advertising Club) and has been on the Board of Directors for  Richstone Family Center, a non-profit organization helping abused children. Roger is also a lecturer for marketing and advertising courses at some of the top universities in Southern California. In addition, he sits on the Executive Board of Directors of the Advertising Industry Emergency Fund (AIEF).


Cathie Kanuit – Vice President
With over 20 years in the advertising industry, Cathie started her career on the ad agency side and then moved to the other side of the desk to sell magazine advertising. She joined this recruiting firm in 1997 and became a partner in 2000. Cathie brings 15 years of magazine ad sales from Time Inc. where she was the Los Angeles Manager for Money, People, and Life magazines, and worked on the launch of InStyle magazine. Cathie started her career at an ad agency as a Traffic Manager and rose to Senior Account Executive where she worked on Datsun (Nissan), Honda, Magic Mountain, Redken and Northrop. She has been involved in AIEF and is an active member of thinkLA and a fund-raiser for The American Cancer Society. Cathie has a strong network of people in the ad industry, is proud of the people that she has placed and has a good eye for talent. Cathie is a graduate of Stephens College and has a Bachelor’s degree in History from UCLA Go Bruins
